1. Quizzing Basics

DK quizzes are made up of 20 text and picture questions with multiple-choice answers.

Most quizzes will ask you to answer a question by choosing an answer from four possible options but we’ve thrown in the occasional True / False question and some picture only questions to keep you on your toes.

Once you’ve begun a quiz, you'll be presented with the first of 20 questions.

All you need to do is click on one of the answer buttons below the question and if you’re correct, the answer button will go green. If you’re incorrect, the answer button will turn orange.

Either way, your score for that quiz will be updated (if you are playing that quiz for the first time) and you’ll automatically be taken to the next question to answer.

When you play a timed DK quiz, you can pause it at any point - however, the pause will only come into effect between questions. This is to prevent players researching answers and coming back to answer ‘live’ questions.

So, after you’ve hit the ‘pause’ button, make sure you answer the question on screen or the time will run out and it will count as a wrong answer.

Playing our quizzes couldn’t be simpler – it’s choosing the quiz you’re most interested in that’s the hard part.

You can search by:

• Most popular quizzes – most played on the website
• Recently added – quizzes that are hot off the press
• A-Z – find quizzes alphabetically
• By category – choose a simple top level category that you're interested in e.g. History, Sport etc

We’ve broken up the quizzes into the following main categories:

• Around the World
• Culture & Entertainment
• Food
• General Knowledge
• History
• Natural History
• Science & Technology
• Sport

By clicking on any one of these areas, you’ll see more specific categories below. For example:

Around the world

• Countries
• People
• The Earth

Under each of these sub-categories you’ll find great quizzes just waiting to be played.

Easy, Medium, Hard – that’s it. We’ve graded all our quizzes as Easy, Medium or Hard so that finding your next quiz at the right level is easy (medium or hard).

The DK Quiz team wants to hear from our players so we can ensure that we offer the best quizzing experience possible. We’ve added a grey ‘Feedback’ tab on the right hand side of the DK Quiz site. Simply click on it and a feedback window will appear.

Once you’ve written your message, you need to sign in (using either your Facebook, Twitter, Gmail or Get Satisfaction account details) and you can then post your message privately (to the DK Quiz team only) or publicly on the DK Quiz community on GetSatisfaction.com.

Please also let us know if you think you spot anything that isn't correct on any of the quizzes. We have done our best to ensure that all questions and answers are correct at the time of upload, but if you think that you have seen any errors then let us know using the Get Satisfaction tool.
